Giving begins with the heart, not an obligation. In 2 Corinthians 8:9, Paul shares with us the true motive for giving. He says, “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.” Each of us has been saved by the radical generosity of God. We can now give cheerfully because we know that God gives bountifully!
